A heavy duty stainless steel post to hinge or latch a glass gate may be required in certain installation situations. It is important a heavy duty post is used to prevent the post bending under the weight of the gate. It is also very important that the substrate is sturdy and cannot bend/ or flex – such as when installing a base plated post to a timber deck with a hinging glass gate.
